Biological evolution usually takes place within the same species and is aimed at adapting it to the changing habitat. Organisms can adapt to each other - cooperate, co-evolve, or undergo speciation or extinction. We are living in a time when human activity has accelerated the underlying rate of natural extinction from 100 to 1,000 times. Organisms are forced to adapt to the existing conditions - including the greenhouse effect or plastic in waters and on the surface. Microparticles of plastics can already be found, among others, in rain, soil or rocks. Will it result in the formation of new, organic-synthetic hybrids in the future?
The title of the project refers to the 19th-century publication entitled "Micrographic Dictionary; a guide to examination and investigation of the structure and nature of microscopic objects" by J.W. Griffith and Arthur Henfrey.
The work presents imaginary aquatic organisms, consisting of organic particles and plastics. These are paper collages created from photographs taken by the artist and images found on the Internet.

Ewolucja biologiczna odbywa się zwykle w ramach tego samego gatunku i ma na celu jego dopasowanie do zmieniającego się siedliska. Organizmy mogą się wobec siebie adaptować, kooperować, koewoluować, bądź ulegać specjacji czy wymieraniu. Żyjemy w czasach, kiedy działalność człowieka przyśpieszyła bazowe tempo naturalnego wymierania od 100 do 1000 razy. Organizmy zmuszone są dostosować się do zastałych warunków, w tym do efektu cieplarnianego czy plastiku w wodach i na powierzchni. Mikrocząsteczki tworzyw sztucznych znajdują się już m.in. w deszczu, glebie czy skałach. Czy będzie miało to wpływ na uformowanie się nowych organiczno-syntetycznych hybryd w przyszłości?
Tytuł projektu nawiązuje do XIXwiecznej publikacji pt. „Micrographic Dictionary; a guide to examination and investigation of the structure and nature of microscopic objects“ autorstwa J.W. Griffitha i Arthura Henfreya.
Prace przedstawiają wyobrażone wodne organizmy, składające się z organicznych cząstek i tworzyw sztucznych. Są to papierowe kolaże stworzone z fotografii wykonanych przez artystkę i obrazów znalezionych w internecie.
